FAQs

When is the site open?

Tatton is open during the parks high season, usually April to end of October. For the 2025 season this will be Friday 10th April until Sunday 1st November.

What time can we arrive?

Sites and buildings will not be available to campers until after 5pm on the day of arrival unless you have specifically booked otherwise. Early arrivals should be requested as soon as possible to allow us to arrange suitable cover with duty wardens.

If you wish to arrive before 5pm on the booked day of arrival, you will be charged the day rate for your total number of people arriving early or £50 (whichever is greater). This includes the delivery of food and other equipment.

Majority (if not all) of your party must be onsite before the park gates close at 7pm on the day of arrival. You will be given a key for the gates to let members of your party in or out after this time but it is requested this is kept to a minimum. If your group needs to arrive later than 7pm this should be arranged in advance.

What time do we need to depart by?

Camp sites must be vacated by 4pm on the day of departure, and groups departed from site by 4.30pm.

Buildings must be vacated by 3.00pm on the day of departure to give our staff time to service them before new arrivals. Groups must depart from Tatton Park Activity Centre by 5pm.

How do we access the site?

Access to the site is via the Rostherne entrance to Tatton park and by following signs to the activity centre. Passes will be sent to each group leader for distribution to parents to access the park and must be shown to the gate staff. Failure to produce a pass will result in being charged the park entrance fees.

Knutsford gate must not be used for access to the campsite.

If you are bringing a trailer of equipment our onsite wardens may be able to tow it to your campsite upon arrival at weekends.
